General Disclaimer

Conversion Accuracy

Conversion results depend entirely on your browser’s decoders and encoders. Different browsers can produce different results for the same file — in image quality, color handling, and in which formats they can read or write at all. Because of this:

  • Always keep your original files. Conversion never modifies the source file, but the original remains the authoritative copy.
  • Verify important output before using it — check dimensions, appearance and file size in the result preview and after downloading.
  • Treat a successful preview as an indication, not a certification, that the output suits your purpose.

Adobe Illustrator Files

Browsers cannot decode Adobe Illustrator .ai files; the format is proprietary and no mainstream browser includes a decoder for it. This tool does not convert .ai files directly and will not pretend to. Where the tool discusses Illustrator files, the guidance it offers — such as exporting an SVG or PNG from Illustrator first and converting that — is general information, not official Adobe support.

External Formats

PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, AVIF and ICO are open, publicly documented formats — this site has no special access to them. Which of them your browser can read or write depends on the browser you use: WebP encoding and AVIF decoding, for example, are supported in current browsers but not universally. The tool checks what your browser can actually do and tells you when a conversion is not possible, rather than guessing at a result.
